Jo Casson loves what she does and it shows in her creative development and attention to detail. With a background in Sales and Marketing and wide experience as a producer and also performer, Jo has created the perfect combination of her experiences by launching “ding” in October 2007.

ding has rapidly formed an outstanding reputation for creating high energy, memorable corporate theatre. Production highlights include performing with David Campbell (Gold Coast '09), the Medical Board’s National Conference, SPAA National Conference (Brisbane '08, Adelaide "09, Melbourne '10), Minda inc Gala Banquet, New Year’s Eve at the Adelaide Convention Centre (2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009) and special events for Flinders Medical Centre Foundation, Advantage Adelaide, The Telstra Awards, Women's and Children's Hospital Foundation, Country Arts SA and Mutual Community. ding has been billed will performers such as Vanessa Amorosi, David Campbell and Guy Sebastian.


Jo premiered her original production of “Do You Remember?” to sell out audiences and fabulous reviews at the 2008 Adelaide Fringe Festival where she created, directed and produced the show. The show has gone on to enjoy sell out seasons at the 2009 Adelaide Fringe and toured with Country Arts SA.

Since forming ding Jo has also contributed to the co-ordination of a range of events including 155 sessions at dedicated venues for the 2006 Adelaide Fringe and also live, intimate performances by Shannon Noll, The Brewster Brothers from The Angels and Tim Freedman of The Whitlams.

Jo began her working life as a secondary teacher of drama and geography. She enjoyed the challenge of fostering success among her students both academically and creatively and remains a registered teacher. After seven years, Jo moved into sales and marketing and joined the senior management team at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre. She co-ordinated the President Clinton Banquet as well as special events for the French Government and Martin Luther King III.

Jo has received the National Award for ‘Outstanding Sales and Marketing Person’ for the Meeting and Event Industry and graduated with her Masters in Business Administration from Adelaide University in August 2003.

Jo has co-produced a range of musical theatre and cabaret shows with Swamp Fairy including large scale productions of “A Night on Broadway” July 2003, “Destination Broadway” May 2004 and “Encore” June 2005 with Guest Star Doug Parkinson. She co-ordinated Swamp Fairy’s sell out contribution to the 2004 Adelaide Fringe Festival with two exciting cabaret productions, “The Late Show” and “..but I won’t do that!”. Jo has also co-produced four cabaret shows at the 2006 Adelaide Fringe Festival including sell-out seasons of “Let Me Entertain You – The Robbie Williams Show” and “The Big, The Bold and The Beautiful”. Other production credits with Swamp Fairy include “Loving Lloyd Webber” and "Divas and Darlings" which have performed to capacity crowds at Skycity Adelaide and also toured regional South Australia with Country Arts SA.

Performance highlights include playing Christine in "Chorus Line", dancing in The MS Society’s production of "Jesus Christ Superstar", performing in two sell out seasons of "Let Me Entertain You - The Robbie Williams Show" and appearances in "Sweet Charity" and "Curtain Up". Jo performed and choreographed for the Adelaide 36ers troupe for five seasons. She has also performed for a wide range of corporate clients including Disney as well as dancing at the opening ceremony in Adelaide for the 2000 Olympics.
