Carolyn Ferrie has been heard by millions in households worldwide. Her voice is beautiful and believable and perfect for retail commercials. Carolyn has a versatility capable of sex appeal as well as creating unique, fun and lovable characters.Her pure soprano voice lends itself perfectly to young characters and she is perhaps most famous for being the voice of the 'Dorothy the Dinosaur' from the Wiggles. Carolyn's years of experience in music theatre makes her perfect for retail jingles and also as a recording artist. Carolyn has performed as solo artist at a variety of high profile corporate events. She can present a range of solo sets incorporating some of the best, well loved songs across a range of genres. Her music theatre experience provides an amazing selection of popular standards from productions such as Phantom of the Opera, CATS, Jesus Christ Superstar among other award winning Broadway productions. Carolyn's unique vocal talents combined with her elegant presentation are also perfectly suited to the haunting, ethereal style tunes from artists such as Enya to the raw melodies of Sarah McLachlan. At the age of eighteen, Carolyn landed a lead role with the Australian Opera, in "The Turn of the Screw"and began a career that has taken her all over Australia and to Europe where she played Jellylorum in the German "CATS" company. Carolyn has been in the original casts of shows such as "Phantom of the Opera" , "The Secret Garden", and "Sound of Music", where she was thrilled to perform the role of Maria during the Adelaide season earning her rave reviews. Roles in other shows include "Albert Herring", "Fiddler on the Roof", "Sweeney Todd", "Sydney Stories" and "Tell Me On A Sunday". A versatile performer, she has performed numerous concerts, with repertoire from opera to jazz, music theatre to contemporary and her voice is heard by millions worldwide as the beloved Dorothy the Dinosaur of the Wiggles. |
